References

In the text, when citing a source, it is necessary to indicate in square brackets the name of the author, the year of publication and the page when citing: [Mitina, Petrovsky 2004: 20].

If one author published several works in the same year, then the letter a, b, c, d, etc. is added to the year: [Latour 2009a: 73].

If the article lacks an author, the source title should be cited in place of the author’s name: [Dichotomy of the Gerontological Situation 2006: 12].

If multiple references to the same article occur in close proximity, subsequent citations should use [Ibid: 35] in place of the author's name. In the case of English-language sources: [Ibid.: 105].

References to multiple sources should be presented as outlined above, separated by semicolons: [Ankersmit 2004; Laclau 2009].

Links to non-author Internet sources, regulatory documents, statistical collections, etc. should be cited in footnotes and not included in the list of references.

References

  1. In the text, when citing a source, it is necessary to indicate in square brackets the name of the author, the year of publication and the page when citing: [Mitina, Petrovsky 2004: 20].
  2. If one author published several works in the same year, then the letter a, b, c, d, etc. is added to the year: [Latour 2009a: 73].
  3. If the article does not have an author, then instead of the author’s name the name of the source is indicated: [Dichotomy of the Gerontological Situation 2006: 12].
  4. If references to one article are repeated nearby, then in the second case and further, instead of the author’s name, it is written [Ibid: 35]. In the case of English-language sources: [Ibid.: 105].
  5. A link to several sources should be given as required, described above, separated by a semicolon: [Ankersmit 2004; Laclau 2009].

Links to non-author Internet sources, regulatory documents, statistical collections, etc. should be cited in footnotes and not included in the list of references.

References design

Each article must contain a list of all references mentioned in the article, according to APA 7th Edition (https://apastyle.apa.org/).

The "References" section begins with sources in Russian, with each title translated into English and duplicated beneath the original (see example below). It is essential to use the translations of Russian-language journal titles as recommended by the journals themselves (e.g., Sociological Review = Russian Sociological Review).

Names of foreign authors in articles translated into Russian should be presented in their original form rather than transliterated (e.g., Weber instead of Veber). Additionally, titles of books, journals, or collections should be italicized.

A list of references must contain at least 30 sources, with no less than 50% of them being contemporary publications (not older than 10 years) from international journals. The optimal level of self-citation by the author should not exceed 10% of the total list of references.

Wherever possible, the DOI and EDN of the publication should be provided.

References to non-authored online sources, regulatory documents, statistical collections, etc., should be placed as footnotes throughout the text and should not be included in the bibliography.

Graphic materials

If the text includes figures (graphs, diagrams, etc.), there should be a reference in parentheses to each of them.

For example: In some areas, voting was organized fundamentally differently (Fig. 1).

The caption under the figure should read as follows: "Fig. 1. Voting as a Carnival." All captions for figures and tables must also be duplicated in English below them.

Examples of text formatting can be found in the latest issue on the website.
