The journal "Sociology of Power" is a peer-reviewed international open-access scientific publication published by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration on the basis of the Philosophical and Sociological Faculty of the Institute of Social Sciences.

One of the focuses of the journal is power in all its forms and the social/cultural inequality, discrimination and other (negative) effects generated or supported by it.

The journal gives preference to the publication of thematic issues with an emphasis on current theoretical problems and recent empirical research, with the encouragement of interdisciplinary discussions. The topics of our issues range from actor-network theory to animal studies, from political anthropology to the sociology of age.

The journal publishes original articles, reviews, translations and reviews on sociology and related disciplines.
